RFQs

INFORMATION FORMAT FOR RFQs & DATA EXCHANGE Send RFQ to  dougc@philway.com ph ext 226. Always include requested quantity, delivery, and who to respond to contact information, along with any special instructions Philway needs to produce your parts.

Modes (in order or preference) that Philway can receive data for prompt and accurate PCB Quotations.

  1. E-Mail transmission of Zipped Gerber data with aperture information. Drill and Fabrication drawing that should include a read me file.
  2. Fax transmission of drawing information or quote/RFQ data sheet.
  3. US Mail, UPS and FedX for document/drawing information (include CAD/Gerber disk if possible).

For RFQ's we can use the following files formats: Graphic -.TIF(Fax), .PDF(Adobe Acrobat), .jpg(Graphic). Please avoid sending .bmp(Windows Bitmap) files. NOTE: WE DO NOT HAVE AN FTP SERVER or EDI.

 Philway does have Exostar capabilities.

Information Philway can utilize to manufacture your PCBs (Non-CAD (films) or digitizing is special additional charge):

  1. Photo-tooling- Gerber data for each layer in any format (Regular Gerber / 274-D with aperture list or RS274-X).
  2. Aperture list (Description & size of all features= pads, traces, legend, soldermask, etc) as a separate file for each layer or embedded in each Gerber file.
  3. CNC Drill information for each drill size used as ASCII data with two positions before the decimal and four trailing. If your system will not output this format Philway is usually able to modify other formats to achieve these results.
  4. Drawing or text information -- Gerber,DXF, HPGL or PDF that Philway can view electronically & print as text files.

 

Information that Philway can not use at this time to manufacture PCBs (to create/plot Photo-Tooling):

  1. DXF files generated from Autocad (Non Gerber Output) Software (can not use refers to Artwork/Plot Data- we can work with Print Data).
  2. Some HPGL (Outputs pen plotter) formats (can not use refers to Artwork/Plot Data-we can work with Print Data)
  3. Embedded design/cad files such as Tango, Pads, etc

NOTE: AVOID THE USE OF NON PCB DESIGN/SPECIALIZED TEXT FILES SUCH AS PDF
